I appreciate your spirit, although I don't agree with your belief that you own the thread or the messageboards by the virtue of your creating a thread.
What I posted was a plea to introspect (more so as the first anniversary of the D.C. rally approaches) - it was in no way dismissive of your efforts, or an effort to ridicule or demean your thread or its spirit.
Not sure why you felt the need to be rude - being firm and clear about your goals is a sign of leadership, and being blunt may get you some more brownie points. However, brash/rude behavior is not a substitute for that clarity and firmness, imho - particularly with those who may be working towards the same goals as you are (albeit coming at it from a different angle).

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
A: I suggest you to have a trip in India and visit some places like Dharavi,

Like my title says - Could it be a mistake on their part for EB3 I ? Was it meant to be 15th April 2002 ?
In March of This year it was 15th Oct 2001. Then it goes to U for untli Oct and now its 15th April 2001 (gone back 6 months !!!!) This seems odd for a new fiscal year with new Visa Quota however small EB3I may be - are there still that many 2000-2001 applications pre-adjudicated in the system waiting for a visa that they had to roll it back ?

All the posts above are good coping measures, and some are used to actually deal with depressive symptoms. However they have missed the MOST important one! You used the term clinical depression. Please if you truly feel that way seek help, and seek it now, talk to your doctor or to a councilor. Though I won't go into details, I am speaking from personal experience. Sometimes things build up so much that we slip into such a state where we go beyond sadness and frustration and move to true depression.
From a site on depression: Depression is a disorder that affects your thoughts, moods, feelings, behavior and even your physical health. People used to think it was "all in your head" and that if you really tried, you could "snap out of it" or just "get over it." But doctors now know that depression is not a weakness, and it's not something you can treat on your own. Depression is a medical disorder with a biological and chemical basis.
Sometimes a stressful life event triggers depression. Other times depression seems to occur spontaneously with no identifiable specific cause. Depression is much more than grieving or a bout of the blues.
Depression, true clinical depression, is nothing you can cure with a trip to somewhere else, or having people point out to you how much better you are off than this person or that one. I have the following questions to pick the brains of my fellow IV'ians:
1. I would like to change careers. Since I can have multiple employments, can I have 1 job which fits the LC job profile and second which is in a new career.
How I intend to do this is by consulting in the field of my current job (as per LC) and have full time employment in a different career.
This leads to my second question.
2. This has been asked before , but I did not see a good answer. Can you consult using 1099 or should you be on the payroll ?
3. Thirdly, Assuming I have to consult through a consultant and not through 1099;
I intend to use a consulting company. Since there are no consulting companies or I don't know any, in my current field of work (Automobile engineering) I will have to use a regular(read Desi) consultant. Is there any issue with this as the code for him will be different than the labor code of my present employer. I will put down that I am working as per the same code as my labor, but the employers code will be different. Consulting companies usually get a code which will say " Nature of business: Consulting-All kinds". Will this be sufficient?
All answers will be greatly appreciated.

I and my wife transfer notice by mail. I have no idea, why I received them.
I read on the forums where people successfully called USCIS and got their Receipt Number with their name and DOB. However, they mentioned USCIS that they were waiting for more than 90 days to get level 2 IO support.

It's very selfish of rsharma....shameful!
I've applied in EB-3 in 2006 but was unable to port my PD because I was not aware of the fact that you need an approved 140 for porting. I've changed my jobs in Dec 2006 and now applied in EB-2 in 2008 with my current company.
I don't mind waiting longer (it's been 11 years) if EB-3 folks are porting to EB-2 because they've gained the necessary experience and have every right to get their GC just like EB-2 folks. Let's not try to tear each other down.

My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.

Sorry if this is not about GC or any US immigration processes...i just would like to know if anybody can help me or provide me the procedures to obtain Canadian PR. I already had an assessment done (me and my husband under H1 here in US as Accountants ) and we have I-140 and 485 pending. We are thinking of trying Canada.
I always checked and read this site but this is my first post and your help would be greatly appreciated.
